Alexandra Kowalski

Born and raised in France, Alex Kowalski was first trained as a philosopher and a sociologist at the Sorbonne in Paris, before completing a PhD in sociology at NYU in New York City. She is today a sociologist, a historian, a researcher, a teacher, and a writer, sharing her time between her homes in the Berry region of France and the city of Budapest, Hungary. She teaches courses in social theory, political and historical sociology, and the sociology of culture as a permanent member of the CEU faculty in Vienna.
